Last summer I joined Benny and Charlotte to Bjørndalen when they were counting the Little Auks. This year, I also dragged Hege-Jeanette with me :)
A bird-cliff will always attract predators, and in this case we got a visit from a polar fox while we we`re working. Glaucus gulls were also showing up once in a while, and then most of the Little Auks would get up in the air and fly around for quite a while. Making our work of looking for coloured rings and counting them quite timeconsuming x)
At least we got to catch a few birds to ring and measure them aswell :)
Thanks to Hege-Jeanette and Martin for letting me use your pictures!
This is a blog about my adventures on Svalbard. I started studying here in 2010 during my Bachelor, and is now continuing with my Master in Arctic Marine Biology. I made this for all my friends who want to follow me, but I`m more than happy to share my amazing experiences with others =) Hope you enjoy the pictures!
